  25.6.2022  Progress Report: There is media (Video) accompanying the recent changes. To view it, please head to the appropriate tab ( Bill Nye Gone Made(WIP) ) Today I started working on a new project with will smaller time frame for the project. The purpose of the this project is too meet my goal of uploading a game every month. The time frame I have in mind for this game is ~20 days. While working on this game I will continue working on my other projects, but this will be the main focus.   Here is a simple overview of how the game will play, enemies come in waves from 2 directions, and when you kill them they can spawn weapon upgrades, new weapons, health, and some buffs. As the game progresses, it will get more and more difficult, and the goal is to get the highest kill score possible. FYI I am a big fun of Bill Nye, and the name is kind of tribute to all the amazing work he has done to educate the public of science!   Today, I was very busy with IRL stuff, and I didn't get the chance to work on my projects much. It was also extremely hot, so I couldn't set behind my desk for more than 10 mins XD.

   25.6.2022  Progress Report: Today I mostly worked on getting the inventory selected item highlight setup done. It took a lot of time! It looks easy, I thought it would be easy, but no It took some time alright! nonetheless here are some changes I have made to my WIP games. A Farmer's Valley: If you click on an selected item again it deselects its. Fixed a bug where if the player had a full inventory of items player could drop a half stack, or a full stack of items. Fixed a bug where player could pick up more items than inventory size. Highlight disappears after player switches item. Highlight disappears after item is dropped. Selected item is highlighted. Allowed player to now select items. Fixed a bug where the amount of items you could pick up could be more the the inventory size. Fixed a loot duping glitch. 25.6.2022 Progress Report

  25.6.2022  Progress Report: Everyday that I work on my games, I feel more excited than the day before!  Today I created the description pop up when the player hover on top of an item, and there are a few changes that I am planning on making with the pop up. I will add a fade in animation, since it is very distracting when you are hovering on top of different items and it keeps on turning on and off. Next I will work on added a highlight for the selected item. For These Are Dark Times: I fixed some animation bugs, created new animations for the player hands, and the the basics of door system, and next on the list is to finish the door system, make sure they are fully intractable.  A Farmer's Valley: 111: Description fiend appear when player hover on top of an item in the inventory bar. 110: Made it so that the description field appears where the Inventory bar is. 109: Description field displays the correct item name, number, and description. 108: Description field is now setup. 10

 Today I was very busy, and didn't get the chance to get much done. I did nonetheless do some work on my game but nothing to write about, just some simple bug fixes.   A Farmer's Valley: There is media (Video) accompanying the recent changes. To view it, please head to the appropriate tab ( A Farmer's valley(WIP) ) Player can now move items around it his inventory. Made it so that the items after being dropped are no longer on the persistent scene but on the level scene. Made it so that when the player drops a stack of items there are a bit spread out. There is now a small text displaying the amount of items player has in the stack. Player can drop a full stack of items on the ground. Player can now drop half a stack. Added Stack feature to the items in the inventory. added a feature where if the player reaching the bottom of the screen the UI bar moves to the top. Player Can now drop items from the inventory bar. Now the items the player pickups are displayed in the inventory bar.  Properly positioned, and adjusted the every slot in the UI. Added the inventory UI design to the game. The Grass, and cactus move in a different direction based on which direction came from. 21.6.2022 Progress Report

  A Farmer's Valley: Today was the start of this project, and I am aiming to release this game in 2-3 month time. There is media (Video) accompanying the recent changes. To view it, please head to the appropriate tab ( A Farmer's valley(WIP) ) Changed, and improved the Unity Project setting to accommodate the game better. Improved the code. Created A GitHub repository to store my files. All the animations are well synchronized with the movement. Player running is setup. player walking is setup. Player movement is now setup. Set-up the Idle animation left, right, Up , Down. Set-up the running animation left, right, Up , Down. Set-up the walking animation left, right, Up , Down. Lost Alien Progress: Click Here To Play Lost Alien   Today was a great day!! As I have fully finished, and published a game that I have worked very hard on for the past couple of months! Lost Alien  is now available to be played freely in browser on https://tyrantswrath.itch.io/lost-alien. I would love to hear back from you on how I could have improved the game, and whether it was fun to play or not. Any constructive criticism is very much appreciated! Make sure to check it out!!    H ere is a list of tasks accomplished today: Lost Alien Progress: Since these are the last days of this game, and I am aiming to publish it sometime this week. I am mostly focused on level design, and getting done with some minor details and stuff. So there really isn't much to write about. nonetheless here is a list of some of the changes made today: Added Highlight & pressed animation for Exit Button. Redid the entire level 2 lighting system.  Looks a lot cooler!, and makes the game more difficult. Redid the entire level 1 lighting system. Basics of level 3 is now in place. Changed the level 1 and level 2 boss. More polishing. More bug fixes. These Are Dark Times, Progress: The project is kinda on hold right now, because I am trying to finish the Lost Alien game, since is the home stretch for that game, and should be out in by then end of next week.

 H ere is a list of tasks accomplished today: Lost Alien Progress: Foundations of the level 2 is now setup The new boss character is fully functional Added a new boss character. Boss health UI will no longer be visible after boss's death. Fixed a bug where player's particle effect wouldn't play after getting shot. Added Lighting, Particle Effect, and more to the enemy. Added Movement animation to the enemy. Added Death animation to the enemy. Added Idle Animation to the enemy. Created a new enemy. Pattern Shots are extremely customizable.  Added Pattern shots. To view it please head to the appropriate tab( Lost Alien(WIP) ) Today I did a lot of fine tuning finishing of the level, and general polishing. There is much to write about, but there is a video accompanying the changes that you can click on the blue link above to view.  Some bug fixes. Created the a fully playable level. More fine tuning. I will do some more fine tuning, but I am very happy with how it looks. I will probably up the difficulty a little.

14.6.2022 Progress Report

Today's Update: Today's blogpost won't contain any new changes to my game. Because today I went to a Game Design Meetup in Helsinki, and it couldn't have gone better. I absolutely loved it. The event organizers were so nice, and I got to hangout, and talk to some amazing people from the game dev industry.  Though I didn't get much done today regarding my games, I can safely say it was a great experience going to this meetup, because it was so fun, and everyone there was so nice, and GREAT! Improved the lighting for active weapon, so that all the weapons are well lit. Fixed a bug where pickup ray cast was returning constantly true, due to it hitting the currently active weapon. 9.6.2022 Progress Report

  Here is a list of tasks accomplished today: These Are Dark Times: There is media( Video ) accompanying the recent changes. To view it please head to the appropriate tab( These Are Dark Times WIP )  Today I worked on this game quite a bit, and I am happy to say I have setup the inventory system! Lost Alien: Fixed a some left over Null reference errors. Mix and matching the current enemy types gives well over 20 different enemies. Randomized the angle correction, and speed of missiles to avoid them being cluttered on top of each other. Enemies now have one more type which can shoot missiles. Randomized the angle at which the missiles will be shot at the player. Fixed a bug where Health UI slider fill size was displayed incorrectly. Homing Missile now has a bright flash upon hitting the player. Homing missile now explodes even if it doesn't hit the player after 8 seconds. Player can now add durability to the gun by going near the item in the world.(Which soon will be available through chests only) If the durability repair amount exceeds the max durability. It will reset to the max. Now when the player adds durability to his weapon, the item will be destroyed. Added a weapon pickup system too. Weapon Icon now automatically changes to the weapon to which we want to add durability too. Item icons are now dependent on the Item being picked up. Redid how the inventory system works(not fully finished yet). When the level starts it gradually loads in the scene from the side. Improved the code's readability, and efficiency. fixed a bug where if no functional weapons were left(except for pistol) and the weapon switch button were pressed, the weapon would start flashing on and off. fixed a bug where sometimes the weapon cycle would skip a functional weapon. fixed a bug for when the player switches to pistol, the pistol didn't render. Fixed a bug where the weapon durability was going lower some times at twice the rate.  UI Slider indicating the weapon durability left is now fully functional for all the weapons. Here is the list of tasks accomplished today: LOST ALIEN: 70 fixed all the null reference errors post player's death. 69: adjusted player death animation and speed. 68: fixed a big where player could shoot and move when health was zero. 67: Fixed a bug where after the player death animation didn't play 66:Did some color correction. 65: Added Chromatic Aberration to it. 64: added Vignette to the game. 63: Added bloom to the game. 62: Gate System is now fully functional. 61: Basics of post processing is now setup(Still being finetuned). 60: Player Health UI is now setup(place holder).
