5.6.2022 Progress Report

Here is a list of tasks accomplished today:

Lost Alien:

There is a video accompanying the recent changes. To view it please head to the appropriate tab(LOST ALIEN WIP)
  1. Animated the Weapon UI. When the level starts it gradually loads in the scene from the side.
  2. Improved the code's readability, and efficiency.
  3. fixed a bug where if no functional weapons were left(except for pistol) and the weapon switch button were pressed, the weapon would start flashing on and off.
  4. fixed a bug where sometimes the weapon cycle would skip a functional weapon.
  5. fixed a bug for when the player switches to pistol, the pistol didn't render.
  6. Now if the current weapon durability reaches zero, the player will automatically.
  7. switch weapon, until it finds a weapon that is functional.
  8. Now if the weapon Durability reaches zero, player will not be able to equip it again.
  9. More Bug Fixes.
  10. Redid how the weapon durability was calculated to make it more efficient.
  11.  bug fix Weapon Stats changing only when weapon was fired. Now it changes.
  12. when weapon is switched.
  13. Added a new font for Weapon Stats UI.
  14. Added a new font for Weapon Stats UI.
  15. Created a frame for the Weapon Stats UI.
  16. Fixed a bug not showing the Blaster gun's damage appropriate

These Are Dark Times:

Will be showcasing the basics of the inventory system tomorrow(hopefully if finished)
  1.  Added an animated shader to highlight the items that can be picked up.
  2. Added a pickup icon to appear for when the player can pickup the Item.
  3. Fixed a bug where, if you picked up an battery, it would appear in the health slot.
  4. You can use batteries to refill your flashlight's power.
  5.  You can use the apples in your inventory to give you health.
  6. Setup a system to pick up batteries from 3d space to inventory.
  7. Setup a system to pick up apples from 3d space to inventory.
  8. added 2D UI for Batteries.
  9. Added 2D UI for apples.
  10. added more Assets to the project.
