9.7.2022(Starting a new project as the end of Mad Scientists gets closer)
Summary
Today I started a new project! It will be a point & click, RPG, Adventure style game, I will be using low poly assets from asset packs that I have previously acquired, and will make some of the simple assets myself. I also did lots of bug fixes for Mad Scientist project, & worked on the tool use feature mainly digging. I wasn't planning on doing much today, but I kind got into the rhythm & just continued working on my projects. Tomorrow I will most definitely make a small clip to either showcase Mad Scientist or A Farmer's valley project btw.
As the GMTK Game jam gets closer, I am getting even more excited. I am looking forward to doing a 2 day game jam, it will be quite a bit of pressure, but I am nonetheless very excited. Since I will be making a game for the game jam & I will be finishing off Mad Scientist project this month, I might end up releasing 2 games instead of one, or I might try and polish Mad Scientist more & and more features, and release it on august.
Mad Scientist
Today I did a lot of bug fixes for Mad Scientist project, As the project nears it ends, I am trying to fix all the minor & major bugs, and I am very happy with progress I made with the bugs fixes. Though there a few still left, and also some UI features are left.
A Farmer's Valley
For the project A Farmer's Valley I worked on the tool use feature, I was able to get done with the Hoeing tool for digging, the feature is not entirely done yet, but is very close to being finished. Player can now use the animation, the grid cursor showcases accurately where player can dig & can't. Player can now dig(the ground doesn't change yet), and once player digs a ground he can't re dig the same spot.
